In a medium saucepan, heat oil over medium heat. Add jalapeño and garlic and cook until fragrant, about 3 minutes. Add blackberries, honey and salt, and cook addition 5 minutes, stirring to combine.
Using an immersion or regular blender, puree sauce to create a smooth consistency. Strain through sieve or fine mesh colander. Sauce may be used right away or stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator after cooling completely.
Delicious served with grilled pork or chicken.
