In a large stockpot, brown sausage, garlic and onion over medium heat until cooked through; drain. Return to pan and add flour; mix well and cook for an additional 2 minutes, stir constantly.
Add milk, cream, potatoes and corn to sausage mixture and bring to a boil. Add corn cobs, reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 hour.
Remove cobs, season with salt and pepper to taste. Ladle into soup bowls, garnish with green onions and serve.

This is a great soup! I make it multiple times a year and my husband loves it! Sometimes I will use half and half or frozen corn if I don’t have corn on the cob. Enjoy!!
I followed this recipe to the letter and it was great! I tend to add more of an ingredient just because, and I end up ruining the dish. This recipe includes just enough of everything.
