
Ingredients
- 1 lb Market Style Bacon
- 4 tbsp butter, softened
- 8 slices The Fresh Market Sliced Country White Bread
- Duke’s Mayonnaise
- 4 slices The Fresh Market Sliced Cheese of choice (optional)
- 4 leaves of Organic Green Leaf Lettuce
- 4-6 slices of Slicer Tomatoes
- Loaded Baked Potato Salad or Picnic Macaroni Salad
Directions
OVEN: Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a sheet pan with aluminum foil or parchment paper and lay the bacon in a single layer. Bake for 13-15 minutes until crispy.
STOVETOP: Lay bacon in a single layer in a cold cast-iron or heavy-bottomed skillet. Heat over medium-high, turning occasionally to cook through, about 8-10 minutes. Remove to a paper towel-lined plate. Cook in batches if necessary.
AIR FRYER: Preheat to 400°F. Lay bacon on the air fryer tray or basket in a single layer, cooking in batches if necessary, about 10 minutes until crispy. While the bacon is cooking, butter both sides of the bread and toast in a cast-iron or heavy-bottomed skillet until golden brown, about 2 minutes per slice. Repeat until all bread is toasted.
To assemble the sandwiches, spread mayonnaise on one side of the toasted bread. Place lettuce from the kit on top of a slice of bread, then layer tomato and bacon on top, cutting bacon in half, if desired. Place another slice of toasted bread with mayonnaise on top. Serve with deli side of choice.
