If you're a traditionalist when it comes to your holiday dinner then Turkey is on the menu. And whether it be your first or fiftieth turkey, we've got some tips and tricks to make this your best holiday turkey ever.
Our Turkey Selections
First and foremost, you must start with the best turkey there is to offer. Our fresh turkey selection include our TFM Turkey, a year round favorite, as well as our Bell & Evans Turkeys, available only during the holidays. Prized for it's high percentage of white breast meat, this leaner turkey has been the choice at the White House for over three decades.
Brining 101
Brining is a great way to add flavor and depth to your turkey before it is cooked. And, with our perfect blend of brining spices along with the Fire and Flavor Brining Bag, brining your bird has never been easier! Follow these easy Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Remove turkey from any wrapping and remove innards from turkey.
- Follow instructions on brining bag for appropriate amount of water and brining mix to create your brine. Submerge turkey in brining bag, making sure there is about one to two inches of brine covering turkey.
- Let the turkey soak for roughly one hour per pound.
- Flip or rotate turkey about halfway through the process to make sure that the entire body gets an equal amount of brine absorption.
- Make sure that the temperature of the brining solution - and the turkey itself - does not exceed 40ºF!
- Rinse the turkey, both inside and outside, under cold water until there are no visible traces of salt or other seasonings. Pat the turkey dry with paper towels and roast.
