Store Management –The Fresh Market does not select candidates externally for our Store Manager positions. We are committed to the development and growth of our employees; therefore, we promote 100% of our Store Managers from within the company. We do post Assistant Store Manager positions and believe these positions to be critical to the success and growth of our company.
The Fresh Market requires previous restaurant, hospitality or retail general management experience including, but not limited to: interviewing, selection, retention, supervision, development, evaluation of employees and responsibility for sales, gross margins, labor and profits. Previous management of 20 or more employees is required. Basic math skills for ordering and inventory are required. The ideal candidate must be highly motivated with a sense of urgency and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment at all times with all levels of employees. The job requires standing, walking, bending, climbing throughout the entire work day and the ability to lift, stack and maneuver objects. Weekend, evening and holiday work will be required in the position. The ability to relocate for promotional opportunities within the first 24 months is required.
